Initially conceived as a one-time performance, KREL-2-GO was launched at the Scope Art Show in Miami, 2008, with Miami-based fashion and textile designer, Karelle Levy, creating custom fit knits in under an hour. Since then, the K2G team has rocked New York Fashion Week, Miami Fashion Week, The Fashion Art Ball, Style Miami, Bal Harbour, Palm Beach and Basel, Switzerland. The Knitty Gritty Tour is in full swing, with upcoming dates in The Hamptons, Nantucket, New York, New Orleans and Mexico. By popular demand, KREL-2-GO is now booking events worldwide through 2010, offering
museums, nonprofits, boutiques, galleries and private clients our quickie couture services.
Whether glamorous and glittery or luxuriously matte, the client is invited to choose their favorite fabric to be custom fit by Karelle, to flatter any shape. These quickie couture one-of-a-kind pieces are constructed from fabric designed personally by Ms. Levy, Style Wars National Champion, Miami New Times Best Fashion Designer and a GenArt Fresh Face of Fashion, whose spontaneous stylings were recently featured on Bravo TV’s Make Me A Supermodel and named Daily Candy’s Sweetest Thing of 2008. Each unique design is a collaboration between the client and Karelle Levy, with all the nuance and preciousness of KRELwear’s sought-after hand-knit couture. The entire experience takes under an hour and is captured by Polaroid to be added to the KREL-2-GO family album; a ritual that echoes a sense of “working together” to make something magical.
